The Broken Club as an idea has been floating in many forms in my head since 2022. However, the one thing that has stayed constant throughout the iterations is that I wanted to create an environment where people could connect; to each other, to community, to new ideas, and to growth.

I’ve long been inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending breakage with lacquer that is mixed with powdered gold, silver and platinum. Kintsugi as a philosophy treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise. Hence the name Broken Club Coffee and the slogan “Better than Before”.

So why coffee, why all the philosophy?

It’s simple, really — we need more reasons to meet up with our friends.

When I was a kid, we could stay out until the street lights came on; in the summer, that was 9 p.m.! I used to play outside until 9 p.m. We used to play outside until 9 p.m.!!

When I was a teenager, I started to go to coffee shops; first, it was to hang, to read, and to do homework, then it was poetry slams and cute baristas. The coffee shop was a destination — it was social, it was fun, and it was safe.

As a young adult, the coffee shop was the day party, the follow-up, and the “guess what, girl?” moment. It was the "I needed this" space and the pre-shift caffeine routine — a daily ritual, really. It’s where we met up to break bread and talk shit with our friends, and I miss it. This is why I started Broken Club Coffee!

Broken Club Coffee specializes in coffee catering for corporate events, weddings, private parties, and brand activations. With over 10 years in specialty coffee and 15 years in hospitality, I treat every cup with the precision of a bartender and the creativity of a chef. I partner with local roasters and rotate out of state roasters to keep things interesting.

I build efficient workflows for high volume and ensure events run smoothly. Flavors that are repeatable, and crazy delicious.

The goal is to have a bevvy for the sweeter coffee drinkers and the serious coffee nerds.
